At the Critics' Choice Awards, the red carpet was filled with looks from high-end designer labels (think Emma Stone in Roland Mouret and Kerry Washington in Elie Saab.) But, Bryce Dallas Howard isn't afraid to buy off the rack. The Jurassic World actress stepped out to the star-studded event wearing a floor-length, mustard-yellow gown from—wait for it—Top Shop.
The famous redhead has said before that she prefers to shop for dresses online, or off the rack, when she has a red-carpet event coming up. “That’s the comfortable way to go through these things,” she once told People. "When you’re not ‘sample’ size, or when you don’t have a direct relationship with a designer...size six dresses just aren’t that available that much…So, what I found is that if something is sort of last-minute, or I don’t have a good relationship with a place, then I go to Neiman’s, or I get something online.”
And that's good news for us: The star's looks are often easy to replicate on a non-movie-star income. The gown she wore to the Critics' Choice Awards goes for $240. And, don't forget: Jill Kargman has worn styles from the chain store, as well—and has looked remarkable while doing it!
