Sonja Morgan is a fixture of New York City society. She got her start modeling in Paris and Milan while studying marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, representing high-end luxury brands while keeping her Berkshire-bred sensibilities and values. She gained the moniker "The Straw that Stirs the Drink" in the early '90s by using her business acumen, social skills, and rock-and-rollers, royalty, and power set to launch several luxury brands and successful hot-spots across the country. Sonja captured America's attention with her groundbreaking toaster oven recipes, which inspired her all-encompassing international lifestyle fashion brand that she wishes to take global with a merchandising investor and her showroom partner.
As a single mother, Sonja dedicates her time to her 13-year-old daughter, her businesses, and her philanthropy, which includes work with the LGBT community, children, artists and animals. A lover of the arts, Sonja loves producing, writing and performing her inspirational caburlesque skits in her Sonja in The City Events that benefit her charities. She recently received a NY State Senate award in July 2013 for her entrepreneurial business savvy, her use of media and for her charity work. In addition, she was interviewed regarding the same topic by The Economist magazine at the NY Stock Exchange for Bloomberg TV. As a fashion and lifestyle consultant, Sonja loves helping others spice it up for less with a little "Sonja Style!" Sonja's motto remains "to live each day as if you have nothing to lose and everything to gain." She has continuously proven that it's not what you spend, but how you choose and how you use it that makes the difference.
