A few weeks ago, Meghan Markle's father was spotted adorably reading up on England from a Mexico Starbucks. The question was: Would the bride-to-be's dad be traveling to Windsor for the Royal Wedding? Or just reading about her new home from a picture book? It looks like the answer is both.
According to PEOPLE, Thomas Markle will be present for the grand affair on May 19. This news comes in spite of contrary claims from the future duchess' half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr.
In an open letter he addressed to Prince Harry — which he sent to In Touch — Markle Jr. directed a series on insults toward his estranged half-sister. He then wrote: "To top it all off, she doesn’t invite her own family and instead invites complete strangers to the wedding. Who does that? You and the royal family should put an end to this fake fairytale wedding before it’s too late."
Well, it looks like the wedding will go on after all, with a more robust guest list than Meghan's estranged family member claimed. And though Thomas Markle hasn't met Prince Harry in person yet (that we know of), the former Suits actress did reveal in an interview that her fiancee has spoken to her dad on the phone. May the meeting go smoothly in person ... and inspire no follow-up correspondence from Thomas' son.
