Karen Waldrup is a sweet-voiced country songwriter who got the music bug as a toddler performing in front of her family. She received a vocal scholarship to the University of Southern Mississippi and landed a coveted spot opening for Rodney Atkins in 2009. She was also named "Top 25 Songwriter" by Great American Country in 2008. Karen wants to show that being a southern girl doesn't mean she lacks the toughness to make it as a hit songwriter.
