Well, for me, this episode was the Project Runway first among Project Runway firsts! Why? Because I served as a judge for the first time (and, hopefully, the last time) ever. Here's the back story: Bravo and the executive producers approached me before our Bryant Park show to say that there may be a problem with our guest judge and, consequently, how would I feel about filling in. At first, my response was a roll-up-your-sleeves and "make it work!" form of positive thinking, but as I contemplated the reality of it, I pushed back and refused. Consider the following: I still had another visit to the designers that night and there would be a considerable amount of time needed to support them in the morning before the show. How could I be both a mentor and a judge and service their needs appropriately and responsibly? I believed that I couldn't. So, to make a very long story a wee bit shorter, we ended Thursday night's bevy of phone calls in the following way: Bravo and the producers would ardently search for a replacement judge and I would return to my work with the designers assuming that I would not be a judge If I were to be needed in that role, then I wouldn't be informed of that need mere moments before the show. Otherwise, I could be perceived by the designers (and anyone else mind you) as being duplicitous and insincere. That would never do. Furthermore, Kenley and I were engaged in an semi-incendiary relationship, and the worst thing that could happen would be for her to lose and have me perceived as being the reason why. Oy!
Ojala Tim, viniera a mi casa y me ayudara ... Asi me sube mi autoestima.
Dear Tim, I hope You can read this. I have been watched almost all Project Runway Seasons and I have become your fan. I love the way You are and how You show style in every you are and behave. Unfortunately, I have never met anyone as you in real life. I really hope I could meet you or get contact with you. Also, I am artist too and I would appreciate your opinion about my designs. I admire you, my gentleman.
I am a big fan, really enjoy your show. Here's the kick! I look just like you. I get stopped on the street and are asked if I am TG. I live in L.A. (twice divorced)but now I am in two year plus relationship. I would like to meet you the next time your are in L.A. Please advise if that is workable.
Regards, Jeff Presser
question: hy was there no reunion for the last season? I watched the entire season in anticipation of the reunion.
Tim, unlike you, I was confident that you would do a great job judging and you did not disappoint at all. In fact, I would argue that because you know the designers work you have a greater appreciation for what they went through creating their collections and that provided you with an even better position to assess their work because you saw how the collections transformed from each point. SO as long as you didn't let negative experiences, like those with Kenley, cloud your judgment, you of all people, given your teaching experience as well, could give the most accurate scoring of the work. great Job!
i love you tim!!! you are just a warm and genuine guy. i wonder if you update me on sweet pea, i'm in the midst of a PRW marathon, and i loved her dresses and her style. look forward to project runway, and Tim gunn's guide to style. LOVE IT!!!!!!
You are truly my favorite. Your poise, etiquette and honesty are well respected in my household. We are so looking forward to Season 6, and are curious as to when to start watching for it.
"Bravo" to you, Mr. Gunn.
Season 5 was my first. OMG I love Project Runway. I have learned so much about fashion from the show, and the show itself is also fascinating. I so admire how each designer creates something beautiful out of nothing (as in NO pattern). The main reason I love the show so much is because of what you bring to it. Your professionalism, the way you truly care about each designer shines through. As well as your passion and knowledge about fashion. All of you are so creative. It's obvious you're a wonderful person and I'm a big fan.
I LOVE TIM GUNN!!! and I'm a woman. I love his sence of style and his ability to say "what's - what" with out offending. I'm bummed!! though that Project Runway's 6th season is being held up. I'm a huge fan of the show and wait with baited breath for the next season to start. I even have my son hooked on the show. (he's not gay either) But he loves to watch the show with me and see what new "fashion" is introduced. Actually, I think that he likes to watch Heidi Klum and the other models. Bravo - Lifetime......PLEASE figure things out and let us PR fans find "peace and tranquility". I say, "Let Bravo air season 6, and have Lifetime air the re-runs during the off season. Next year, they can start season 7 running." Trust me Lifetime, you will get plenty of viewers watching the re-runs. That's just as much fun as watching the actual shows. It's a "win-win" situation for Bravo, Lifetime, AND especially the fans. What do ya say....?
My daughter and I are avid Project Runway fans. When will season 6 be coming? We loved Christian's "fierceness" and feel Tim is a saint for putting up with Kenley's rudeness. She may have felt she was standing by her Point of View, but we saw it as rude and Tim you held onto your poise and tact. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!! Can't wait for season 6. Again WHEN IS IT????? WE MISS YOU TIM!!!!!!!
Dear mr. Gunn, Hi! I like project runway and i have been watching since first season. I live in Bangkok and from here we can't watch this show from public channel. However coz i like it so much there is no others reason. Honestly i have been watching u what u suggest to the designers, u try to lead them in the right way which it means a lot to them. Then it shows who you are, i see the other judges, and i don't want to talk about them! Frankly, i think you have good vision and also great person.!!! (^-^)// Please keep walking...//
I keep looking for season 6. Hope it will air soon. It's tough to watch every week in the summer. My grandson watches with me & keeps asking when it will be on. Hope it gets on one of the networks soon.
I am a HUGE fan of project runway. I'm always excited to see what the designers will conjure up week after week with the sometimes interesting or bizarre challenges they are given. I've been a rhythmic gymnast for many years and over those years I’ve seen the basic rhythmic suit become some of the most beautiful and intricately designed outfits I have ever seen. Watching such challenges as the female wrestlers to the drag queens, I think that a rhythmic gymnastics suit challenge would be amaaazing and the designers would really enjoy the freedom of creativity, seeing how my own mother enjoyed the making my suits growing up. I hope it may be considered.
p.s. Tim, you are amazing in every way. Keep doing what you're doing.
Its so refreshing watching & listening when you help guide a client through good sound fashion sense. It appears you truly enjoy the transformations & you do so with passion & tact. Well done!
I'm watching this in South Korea. You have amazing talent! I'm watching your another program too. cheer up! 더 좋은 모습 기대할께요^^
I liked Uli Herzner the best. Will we every see her again? I'm so disappointed that her work isn't in stores. She had the most fantastic way with colors and patterns.
I love you Tim Gunn i think you look so sweet and adorable and i LOVE it when you say "carry on" =) show rocks with you on it!!!
Hi Tim! I just love you in the show... I can't get enough of you! I love that you are both, educated and respectful when it comes to give the designers your feedback. Your fashion tips have been really helpful to me, I'm going to get a trench coat as soon as I can! (I recently had a baby and going out has become more difficult). Love from BA, Argentina! Sabrina.
I loved Uli!! I loved her clothes and her choice of music for the runway presentation. Can anyone tell me what that piece of music is called and by whom it is preformed?
hay i'm Polen I'm don't speak englad , but your program is at polen its great is may favourite program
My wife introduced me to Project Runway about 2 weeks ago and we've watched all 5 seasons now. I'd have to say my favorite part of the show is a combination of the solid mentoring you give the contestants and your style. I'm a 30 something business person in Iowa and I've never seen the sharp and sleek suit styles like what you wear on the show. Every jacket and shirt from season 5 I oogled at. What would I have to do to steal a weeks worth of your clothes?
I have a huge problem infact :) i come from Stockholm//sweden watch projekt every time.. and my favorite is Stella Zotis cuz of her attitude and the "real" clothes that she makes.. her own rockstyle. Is there ANYWAY to buy her clothes???? webshop, or store or something??
If someone could help me i would be grateful :=)
Thanks :) email@example.com
Love you, Love the ways you treated the designers, with respect, kind and your sincere opinions toward them, even though some of the designers didn't take it seriously sometimes but then I'm sure they'd regret later ..lol
I'm a fan of Project runway and I'm from Thailand. Here we're watching season 5 episode 14 ( it got here pretty late )
My favorite design of all is Christian season 4 Love him ;)
When is season 6 coming? Please get the differences settled so that us fans can have our favorite show back. I watched all the seasons when they originally aired and love to watch the re-runs. Please let us know what is going on.
My husband and I are both huge fans of the show Project Runway. We just love you. Your taste is impeccable. I particularly love how you balance being a kind and concerned mentor without sacrificing your integrity.
IMHO you are the main reason the show is such a success.
We are anxiously waiting for the next show to start.
We also enjoyed your other show. We would watch anything with you in it, and are huge fans of couture even though we live in the backwoods of North Dakota. I will always miss New York, but it is fun to feel like I'm able to "visit" it on the show.
Patricia and Michael
I cannot bear to think that Project Runway will not be coming back. Please say it aint so!!!!! This is my favorite show on TV. Please come back - pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

First, love the show! My wife and children have watched every season. Being a vintage clothes buff I'd love to see you have clothing icon J. Peterman on the show to judge or have a fashion task centered around his unique style. Again, just love the show and Tim you're great!
I liked the collections but I think this season was the worst so far... the quality was good byt it's been way better in other seasons .. even the challenges were bad and they weren't consistent ... hopefully season 6 will be better
Tim, you are huge. i admire the lexis you have to describe those pieces of arts. You are a good mentor and a model to follow it is clearly evident that you know a lot about the world of fashion and besides it is reflected on your behaviour, hte way you walk, you see things, the way you proyect clothes on the runway and how to encourage future designers not to ive up and to make it work because you believe on them and their potencial. What is more, you are adorable i wish i have had an uncle like you. i would have learnt a lot a bout you and your world. My sister and I admire you. you were a good judge for sure. We also watch your programme "tim gunn el guru del estilo" we will follow to the letter the list o the 10 item of clothes in your wardrobe.Congratulations for you huge success" I'm sofia from Jujuy-Argentina. When i become an english techer i hope to put in practice your pieces of advice. Kisses.

Hello Tim! I'm from São Paulo, in Brazil and I'm 14... I'm really into fashion and I just love it. I want to be a stylist when I grow up and I'd really really really appreciate if you answer me, giving some fashion tips, good books, what's the best thing to do... I'm really decided of what I want do in my future it'd be a pleasure hear you think about it... Sorry for any grammar mistakes, I'm love Tim Gunn's Gide to Style and Project Runway, you ROCK, and seriously you'd be the perfect teacher. I gave my email, please answer me! God Bless you, Rebeca
I love the show and love the way you work with the designers. I thought you were VERY patient with Kenley. Perhaps there was some editing done before showtime? She was such a difficult person and you handled the situation well, as always. Can't wait to see you and the rest of the Project Runway regulars in Season 6!
Korto should have wone that challenge. I don't need any comments to back this up. Her work stood out for itself. Give me a break already.
First of all I don't even know how to sew. I want to learn, I tried to teach myself but couldn't figure out the patterns. I want to be able to think up an idea and sew it, I can't draw. So can I lean how to do this? Not the drawing part but creating a garment from my own imagination. I'm not looking to become a designer or anything like that, heck I may even learn that I don't like sewing. But I want to try, so can some one give me some free tip or very inexpensive ones.
