Season 1: Wendy Pepper
Viewers probably remember Wendy most for her catty confessionals and her bickering with other designers. Still, despite making some outfits that her colleagues deemed dowdy, she managed to beat out Austin Scarlett for one of the top three spots at the Bryant Park finale.
-
Season 2: Zulema Griffin
Zulema shocked her competitors by taking their models, claiming that it was just part of the game (in her defense, it was). But it was her slowness that caught up to her: On several occasions she could barely finish her designs, and when judges questioned her less-than-stellar work, she got uncomfortably defensive.
-
Season 2: Santino Rice
Santino had an out-there sense of style that he seldom held back, often following his own vision rather than listening to Tim or the other judges' suggestions. In the workroom, his strong personality came through, especially when he impersonated Tim and trashed other designers.
-
Season 3: Keith Michael
The series' first (and only) disqualification: Once Kayne found pattern-making and how-to books in Keith's room-violations of the show's rules-the producers were notified, and Tim informed Keith that he was out, effective immediately.
-
Season 3: Jeffrey Sebelia
As illustrated by that intense neck tattoo, Jeffrey was a bold guy who didn't have any problems with confrontation - even when dealing with Angela's mom during the "Everyday Woman" challenge.
-
Season 3: Angela Keslar
The other designers found it difficult to work with her during team challenges, but maybe her worst offense was putting those damn rosettes on EVERYTHING?
-
Season 4: Victorya Hong
During a team challenge, her aggressive personality brought Ricky to tears (then again, that's not too hard to do), and she didn't endear herself to viewers when she sat stone-faced through the reunion special.
-
Season 4: Christian Siriano
At first Christian's "fierceness" was out of control - he was just too cocky. But by the end of the season we realized that his fabulousness and pure talent explained how annoying he was in those first three episodes: That cockiness was totally justified!
-
Season 5: Kenley Collins
Don't let the cute Bettie Page look deceive you. Season 5's rockabilly resident has a knack for designing fun and flirty dresses...and for arguing with the judges! Her less-than-humble attitude has gotten negative feedback from both Tim and Heidi, as well as her competitors. Kenley has yet to be auf'd so keep watching to see what's in store for her.
