Let me start by saying I F-CKING LOVE ASA’S MOM. She’s so funny, LOL! From her road rage, to her love of Snoop Lion and Cheetos, she’s amazing. Asa is a good daughter to try and help her mom be healthier, but it looks like it’s going to be a harder battle than Asa anticipated!
I am truly shocked with how Reza has treated Sasha; it is very unlike him. Reza may have his flaws, but being hateful or ugly is not in his nature. The way he treated Sasha and his brother was very unfair. Seeing him open up to Asa was very touching. It doesn’t make what he said and did to Sasha right or any better, but it at least makes us understand why he did the things he did. Deep down, Reza is a good person and he knows in his heart what he did to Sasha was wrong. I hope he does the right thing and apologizes. I am proud to see Mike standing up for what is right, even if it means telling one of his best friends he’s wrong. That is a man with integrity.
The offer starts out really fantastic -- creative director of the parent company, and its two subsidiaries. I would not only design the clothing, but also be in charge of the entire image of the brands from the website, to photo shoots, ad campaigns, social media, everything. Awesome! I live for that kind of stuff. The six-figure salary plus equity in the company offer right off the bat is impressive.
However, when the offer suddenly includes me designing a swimwear collection for the brand, the tune of the song changes for me. Designing for a competing swimwear company is essentially self-sabotage. I would essentially be giving another company my trade secrets. My partner and I have worked very hard for four years to grow Have Faith to what it is today. It was so difficult, and I would never want to do anything to jeopardize our hard work. Not to mention, how will my partner feel about this? I don’t think I would be OK with her designing for another swim line on the side, so how can I do this to her? Ugh…Gay pride was SO MUCH FUN. It was really nice to see everyone again, and to celebrate equality together. I am a huge advocate of human rights, and equality for all; thus, I am a huge advocate of gay rights. There was no drama, no fighting, just love, dancing and sunshine. I wish that things could always be this light hearted and fun when I’m with the group. I did miss Reza and was confused as to why he wasn’t there, especially since he’s gay! However, after watching the episode, I now understand.
Until next week!!!
