The Daily Dish Shahs of Sunset

Reza Farahan Is in the Business of Making Weird Informercials Now

Shahs of Sunset's Reza Farahan is a man of many diverse talents, as his latest SodaStream commercial shows.

By Alesandra Dubin

Shahs of Sunset's Reza Farahan has such a charismatic personality that we tend to get behind anything he swears by. So for instance, when he dropped 40 pounds and got in incredible shape, and then attributed his fitness success to eating lots of carrots — we figured it was worth a shot. (We're still waiting for the 40 pounds to fall off.)

How to Watch

Catch up on Shahs of Sunset on the Bravo App.

And now, he's putting his talents to a new use as an infomercial star, hawking a bizarre new product from SodaStream, the brand that makes at-home sparkling water-making tools. According to a video now on YouTube and also shared on Reza's Instagram, the new innovation is called SodaSoak, an add-on that allows SodaStream users to carbonate their bath for an at-home spa experience.

It begins with Reza emerging from a strawberry filled tub in a suit, after getting bopped on the head with a falling strawberry, saying: "People always ask me, Reza Farahan, you're a successful reality star — how do you look so good? Did you discover the fountain of youth? Spoiler... I did!"

Wait, what? Does this all sound truly strange?

Yes, if you're not onto it yet... this bizarre product isn't actually real. It's a parody ad dreamed up by SodaStream for April Fool's Day. And Reza is, as always, the perfect prankster to pull it off. Watch and enjoy! (And admit it — don't you, like us, kinda wish it were real?)
