Camila is very happy with the season premiere.

on Feb 8, 20100

Wow!! That was fun. I was so nervous. All of Matthew's family and a bunch of friends came over to watch it and we had a premiere party — food, kids, drinks, and lots of festivities for the first show. I'm very happy with  the first episode. It looked very classy and professional and I thought it was very compelling, and although I "know" what happens, I STILL found myself intrigued with the competitions and all of the colorful contestants and personalities. I can't wait to see the next episode next Wednesday! I found out we got great ratings which means a lot of you were watching as well, and for that I say, "THANK YOU!!" That means a lot with all the hard work we had, so thank you for watching and if you are reading this, thanks for your support and interest. And believe me things are about to get heated up as the show goes on!! Guys, remember, hair is important!!!

Beijos, Camila

I love your accent but i could not understand what in the world you were saying. BRING BACK JACLYN. And the Winner of this season was a joke.

i agree with a few of the others. camila might find it useful to have some coaching with her accent. her accent sounds a little awkward and distracting.

i will never watch again the winner was horrible lets get it real she did not do much. the others did better. This was the worst season i like to see realistic style able to wear out in the real world.

I have been a fan of this show since its inception and this year I thought the stylists were the most talented group ever. However, the cast changes (Camila and Jonathan) have RUINED the show for me. Please bring Jaclyn back!!! At the very least we can understand what she says. oy

show needs work. I liked season 1 and 2...this season isn't as interesting. Why was Jacklyn replaced?

hear hear...sisere I agree. And she will never be like my girl Heidi Klum, she is the Bomb..love her. She is trying to be so much like Heidi that she can't be herself, and as far as her being beautiful well that is a matter of opinion... there again she is no Heidi, that's what you call beauty. Heidi Klum is awesomely beautiful and she is the original of hosting as far as I'm concerned in shows like this or should I say this show is a spin off of her "Project Runway" Geez people can't you see that she even tries to do hand gestures like Heidi. First impressions, well, you know the ole saying...I had only watched the show today and well..as I said she is no Heidi, only reason I continued to watch is because I love Tabatha. Get a new host, get rid of Camila, she so critical of others so maybe she can handle some of her own,

I enjoy this show, but I am also having a hard time understanding the accent of the host, Camila. I too have an accent, which everybody does (those living in the United States or out of the country). Nevertheless, I think Bravo needs to take this into consideration because it needs to be addressed. Good luck!

Please. Accent? People are being silly. Now let's talk about what's really important. Hair. What hair products do you use? Loved the curly hair and want to know what product you used to make it look so shinny and healthy. Thanks.

Wow! I can't believe that people are saying they are having a hard time understanding you, Please. I had no issues understanding you on The Jimmy Kimmel show. I don't watch Shear Genius...I've never seen it, but after seeing you tonight on Kimmel I will check your show out!! It makes me sad that people are treating you like that. And if you are having a hard time understanding her please open yourself to The World around us and start traveling outside the U.S. Stay up...one love!!

I miss Jaclyn Smith. I can't understand a word of what this new host is saying...sorry, she's no Hedi Klum.

Camila! I'm so glad you're the new host! However, as a salon owner and a colorist, it really erks me when you same "dye" I'll never forget what I learned from beauty school, "You dye easter eggs and color hair" The word dye takes the professionalism away from what we do and trust me, we work really hard at what we do! Hair is very important to people and my clients spend lots of money and time with me and I know that if I were to tell them I was going to "dye" their hair or go mix their "dye" it would make me look less credible and I have worked really hard to get where I am. Other than that....good job!

hair is important, BUT just because you are a model doesnt mean that you know about hair...Jaclyn was an icon for hair...didnt she even have a product line? please get another host

Camila, I don't think the problem is your accent so much as your apparent lack of experience speaking in front of the camera. I can understand you just fine, but your delivery is very flat and hesitant; it sounds like you are reading a cuecard, and even though you probably are reading off a cuecard, it should never be that obvious. As the show progresses, this should improve as you gain experience and confidence. There are certain phrases that you'll be using repeatedly, so you can work on improving those first, and the rest should follow.

One suggestion: please drop the "hair is important" catchphrase; it's just godawful. Yes, hair is important, but there's got to be a more creative way of making that point than that. For example:

"You can be dressed to the nines, but without great hair, you're a zero."

Good luck!

Wow, I can't believe that people have actually written these comments about your accent! It is beautiful, as you are. I have absolutely NO problem understanding anything you say, and I think it's great that there is FINALLY a host(ess) that looks modern, fashionable and just plain adorable. One thing I noticed after watching the second show is your great hairstyle! Your hair is awesome, and the variety of styles is really cool! Ignore the negative comments..you are perfect for this job!

Great talent this season - go Jarman. Not thrilled with Camila - pretty but very flat in delivery and not very believable. Why not have Jonathan host - much more lively and great insights. Think about it Bravo

I don't mean to sound negative but am only trying to give a helpful suggestion. This is the first time I've watch the show in this new season. You seem as you are very serious. I understand that one has to be serious but if you could just look at the gentlemen sharing the panel with you. They are serious too but can also make you smile so that one wants to keep watching the show. Your accent doesn't matter, what does is the personality you project to Shear Genius' audience.

Nice enough woman, really. Not any better or worse than Jaclyn Smith. It would be best to host the show with someone who could be more easily understood by the masses. No offense meant Camila. I think you're a beautiful woman with a beautiful family. You and Matthew are very blessed.

I don't think this show has hit on selecting a good host yet. I understand the need to remain dead pan when the top and bottom selections are announced, but some animation adds interest for the audience. And having the ability to adlib despite the obvious need for some scripting and to make interesting comments would be a fresh approach. Everyone seems to be too stiff and maybe with time will appear more at ease. Jonathan is great and adds comedic humor while still being a reasonable critic.

PS - And referring to everyone as guys (OK, guys - Hi, guys, etc) is just annoying.

Camila, I love you in this show. I understand you very well. You are refreshing and modern. When I turn my tv on I want to see young beautiful people. It is your first job as a host so you will only get better. I think who is not understanding you need to clean their ears or perhaps pay attention.

Dear Camila,

Please do not listen to the previous "negative" comments. I did no have any trouble understanding you. Maybe since I am a "great" listener. Regarding last season and host, I did not watch because I felt like JS came across very rude and condescending. She is also old news and her Kmart clothing line is cheaply made. So Camila, ROCK ON!!! and tell Jonathan he is as COOL as ever. Love him also. Thank you.

Camila is a beautiful girl and her enthusiasm for the show is charming, however, just like in the Novelli Acadamy, she needs sub-titles. It's annoying to not be able to understand what she says sometimes. She's the host of the show. Hey, Heidi Klum got rid of her accent with a lot of work, you shouldn't have another show where we struggle to understand the host. As much as I liked watching it the last couple of seasons, I won't be watching it this one. That is just annoying.

I think u are good as a person but your accent just didnt excite me any. I thought jacquelyn had a much more soft and clear voice when she talked.

Great host, but very hard to understand, sounds very rehearsed/cue carded. Consider the viewers!

Camila,

I honestly do not like you as a host. I think Jaclyn Smith was so much better. I hope the producers get their act together and make this season your last.

Hi Camila,

I am so happy you are the host this season! I really enjoyed the first show and can't wait for the rest of the season! Being a salon owner and stylist, I agree....hair is very important!!!!
