Jacob/Taylor Lautner
OK -- we may or may not have laughed when Taylor came on screen for the first time in 'New Moon,' but there isn't anything funny about how much better the teen werewolf looks with his shorter locks. And even though we still might have laughed even after the cut, Bella said it best when she called him "beautiful." Taylor is officially a heartthrob.

John Mayer
Call him a douchebag, an asshat, whatever, but the guy's talented, (and he's heard it all before.) And although we've been listening to the singer/songwriter since before 'Room for Squares,' we didn't think he was, well, hot, until he got his current haircut at the salon of former 'Shear Genius' judge Sally Hershberger. All we can say is, "Thank you, Sally!"

Jaoquin Phoenix
Whyyy, Joaquin?! We've had our eye on you ever since your adorable turn in 'Keeping Up with the Abbotts,' then you went off the deep end, or pretended to -- we're still not sure which. Anyway, the talented actor announced his retirement, grew an unkempt beard and appeared on Letterman sounding, well, nuts. We think we saw that he's recently cut his hair and shaved, so hopefully he can turn it all around once again.

Farrah Fawcett
There's not much to say about the late actress' imprint on the hair world, other than that her name is now synonymous with the feathered look for both men and women alike! (We're looking at you, Jon Bon Jovi!)
-
Ashlee Simpson
It's amazing how a change of haircolor can make people forget you can't sing. Once Ms. Simpson pretended to stop being her sister, made her 10,000th excuse for her now-legendary 'SNL' performance, and started dating Pete Wentz, people started to take her seriously. Did we mention her "acid reflux" didn't prevent her from starring on Broadway? Interesting.
-
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer's layered "Rachel" haircut basically defined a generation, and was asked for by clients at salons across the country in the '90s. We're just kind of happy no one was seeking Ross' less-than-flattering Caesar!
-
Rihanna
Rihanna wasn't always the avant-garde style icon you know today. About five years ago, she was best known for her song "Pon de Replay," and then kind of fizzled for a bit. It wasn't till she chopped off her hair, and re-emerged with songs like "Disturbia," that the Princess of the ROC really became a star.
-
Keri Russell
We LOVE Kerri Russell, and 'Felicity' goes down as one of our fave shows of all time, but everyone knows the show started tanking once Keri/Felicity ditched her glorious long locks in Season 2. Although the ill-advised cut didn't keep us from watching, even Keri's character couldn't escape the nickname "Chia head!"
-
Penn Badley
Are we the only ones that watched Penn Badgley on the CW's ill-fated 'The Bedford Diaries?' Hey, our love of Milo Ventimiglia knows no bounds! Anyway, that show got cancelled, Penn ditched his long curls, and signed up for a little show called 'Gossip Girl,' which has had a bit more success (to put it mildly.) Coincidence? We think not.

Britney Spears
It was the buzzcut heard round the world, and unfortunately Ms. Spears was not going method for a role in 'G.I. Jane 2.' No, she was shedding her past, and her
goodsane girl image.
