On this season of Southern Charm, Chelsea Meissner grabbed the attention of both Shepard "Shep" Rose and Austen Kroll. She joined up with the Charmers at this year's reunion, so we got to ask her the inside scoop on what goes on when you're prepping for a reunion...
Bravotv.com: When did you arrive in NYC for the reunion?
Chelsea Meissner: Sunday evening...my flight was with Austen, Cameran and Jennifer.
Bravotv.com: How did you prep for the reunion?
CM: I got a pedicure while I was in NYC.
Bravotv.com: Did anyone give you any advice before the reunion?
CM: Everyone told me to be myself and don't get too drunk the night before because it's a LONG day of filming.
Bravotv.com: How did you decide on your reunion outfit?
CM: A friend referred me to a shop on King St. called Hampden. I went with the first dress I tried on. Supposedly JLo wore the same dress on the red carpet recently. I was sold pretty quickly.
Bravotv.com: How long did it take to get ready in hair and make-up?
CM: I was the first finished with makeup, which took 15 minutes. I did my own hair so it was also pretty quick.
Bravotv.com: Had you met Andy Cohen before this?
CM: I didn't meet Andy until I was called to the couch for my portion on the reunion. He has a way of settling your nerves and giving you an "I've got your back" look. He's awesome.
Bravotv.com: Was there anything you were nervous to discuss?
CM: I was nervous to talk about my current relationship with Austen...I know how much the viewers wanted to see us last and how disappointing it would be to hear we are no longer dating. I am thankful for our amazing friendship but it still hurts to talk about the break up.
Bravotv.com: What did you have for breakfast?
CM: I had a strong coffee, fruit, and sausage dipped in syrup.
Bravotv.com: What did you do after the reunion?
CM: I had a migraine after the reunion so I went straight to bed. I tried my best to rally with the rest of the cast but New York got the best of me. Luckily, my pregnant friend, Cameran also laid low. We had an early flight home.
All-in-all it was a great experience. We may have issues with one another but at the end of the day, we love the s*** out of each other. I feel blessed to be a part of such a dysfunctional family.
