Patricia Altschul Shared Her Recipe for "Hurricane Hooch" as Florence Raged
The Southern Charm-er found comfort in cocktails.
Southern Charm matriarch Patricia Altschul decided to stay put as Hurricane Florence approached, taking measures to secure her estate — and also stocking up on rations, making a Costco run with her butler Michael for essentials such as snacks and martini fixins.
Fortunately, Patricia and her home made it through the storm without injury. And while it passed over, she found a silver lining amid the danger: the comfort of a cozy cocktail. Specifically, Patricia shared her recipe for "Hurricane Hooch." That's three parts Hooch, one part Darius Rucker Backstage Whiskey, and garnish with pressed mint, according to her Instagram post.
"Got it after running into @staceyfraunfelter the event planner @rlecharleston for #southerncharm," she noted.
