6 Reasons Why 'The New Atlanta' Is Your Next Fave Show
Southern gentleman, drama queens, a love triangle and more.
The South is about to be taken by storm—The New Atlanta, Bravo's newest docu-series, premieres tonight at 10/9c! The show follows five of the city's brightest minds as they strive to achieve their dreams, search for love, and find resolutions to heartbreaks from the past.
1. There Are Southern Gentleman.
We’re suckers for a good southern lad, and the cast of The New Atlanta has two (We're looking at you, Vawn and Tribble.) Jevon 'Vawn' Sims is a Georgia native, while Tribble Reese hails from Birmingham, Alabama, which means that between the two of them, there is plenty of southern charm to go around.
2. The Cast Is Hot.
3. There Is Loads of Drama.
The first episode features a blow-out argument when Alexandra Dilworth shares her aspirations of becoming a trophy wife, which rubs Emily Lipman the wrong way. (Watch it below.) Alexandra is a pampered self-proclaimed "daddy’s girl" who is on the hunt for a husband to provide the glamorous, luxurious life she has grown accustomed to. So it's no surprise that she clashes with Emily, a hard-working entrepreneur who owns a successful clothing boutique. And the drama is delightfully entertaining. (Sorry, Alexandra and Emily!)
4. Did We Mention the Cast Is Hot?
5. We Love the South!
From The Real Housewives of Miami to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it’s clear that we love the south. (Even Top Chef is migrating this season.) So The New Atlanta is in good company. Plus, some of our favorite celebrities hail from the great state of Georgia.
6. There's a Love Triangle.
As the season progresses, Vawn and Tribble may find themselves battling for Africa Miranda's heart. Vawn and Africa spend a lot of time together, since Vawn is helping her with her music career. But Tribble, or Ken Doll, as Africa likes to call him, is also on her radar. So who will she choose? It’s a delicious love triangle and we can't wait to see it unfold!
