Alfre Defends Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl may be one of the most controversial actresses working in Hollywood these days. It, in part, stems from some past interviews she gave where she was a bit outspoken, which ended up snowballing into a feud with Seth Rogen. However, her former State of Affairs co-star Alfre Woodard says the one-time Grey's Anatomy actress has been misrepresented by all the negative publicity and that Katherine is nothing like the person she appears to be on the gossip pages.

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

"She gets an absolutely bad rap. It is total BS. She is a wonderful person," the Luke Cage actress explained on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday. "She is lovely. She is actually one of the most professional people I've ever worked with. And she has a big heart."

Alfre blames much of that negative attention on the way it spreads around the internet. "Well, you get a bad rap unfortunately now because of the internet," she said. "So if one person says something, anything we see on the internet, people thinks its the truth. And I would say, in my bake shop, they say 'Oh, too bad you're working with Katherine Heigl.' [And I go] 'Why? Why do you say that?' [They say] 'I heard it.' [And I say] 'Did she ever come in here? Did she ever diss you?' [And they say] 'No, I just heard that.' Adults! So you know how hard a time our kids have at school with all that bullying bulls***."
