The holiday window displays at Bergdorf-Goodman are a Christmas tradition New Yorkers look forward to every year: the high-end department store goes all out to deck their halls (and storefront windows!) with whimsical decorations and scenes. This year, the theme of their displays was "Holidays on Ice," and our own Andy Cohen was the lucky guy who got to unveil them!
Each one of Bergdorf's five windows interpreted Arbor Day, April Fool's Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween and even the Fourth of July and featured designs by Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte and more. Andy and Bergdorf's Linda Fargo weren't alone in the unveiling duties when it came time to debut the window scenes: acrobats from the STREB Extreme Action Company scaled Bergdorf's walls, making the 2013 holiday window unveiling one of the most dramatic 5th Avenue's ever seen.
After the "Holidays on Ice" tableaus were out in the open, Andy was joined by Kelly Rutherford (of Gossip Girl fame), designer Naeem Khan and scores of NYC socialites for a private shopping shindig to benefit New Yorkers for Children, a charity that supports foster care initiatives. Beautiful windows, good causes, great company: sounds like the Bergdorf holiday window unveiling was chock full of Christmas cheer indeed.
