Andy Cohen Says His 'SNL' Spoof was 'Funny as Hell'

"I am flattered!" the WWHL host adds.

By Lauren Metz

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or at least in Andy Cohen's book it is. "OMG the one night I go to bed early I'm lampooned on SNL?! Great job I am flattered!" Bravo's frontman tweeted after Saturday Night Live's Taran Killam slapped on his best Andy blazer, tie, and smile combo and served up NeNetinis in a faux-clubhouse.

Killam's take on Andy squirmed and danced in his seat, explaining "I'm like a shark. I have to keep moving or I'll die," eventually turning up in inflatable water wings and announcing, "Look! Now I'm wearing floaties. How cute am I? Text ‘very’ to 117755." The real Andy zeroed in on those quips and offered a Twitter shout out, using the hashtags #ImLikeAShark and #VeryCute.

Fellow Bravoleb Chris March – who cringed a bit at the skit -- tweeted, "Wow--that was a brutal spoof on SNL of @BravoAndy on @Bravotv #WWHL ...kind of surprising." But once back in the actual Bravo clubhouse on Sunday night, Andy applauded the laughing matter on Watch What Happens Live. "On a scale of Clint Eastwood to Paul Lynde, I always thought I was a little more on the Clint Eastwood side than the Paul Lynde side," he says. "But I got it… It was funny. It was funny as hell."
