Andy Cohen Will Be Spoofed in New Musical
The 'WWHL' host will be portrayed in a one-man show.
Watch What Happens Live viewers know Ryan Raftery as the singer and comedic actor who recently appeared on the show in large sunglasses and a bob wig to promote his Anna Wintour spoof "Ryan Raftery Is the Most Powerful Woman In Fashion."
While host Andy Cohen chatted with guests Aidy Bryant and Zachary Quinto, Ryan was behind the clubhouse bar sipping a venti Starbucks coffee and throwing subtle shade in every direction.
But the real tea was spilled before the show went live—Ryan dropped the bomb that Andy will be the subject of his next stage production. His reaction? "When I told Andy my next show is all about him he looked a little scared." Ryan tells the New York Daily News.
Andy can rest assured that at least some of the material will be based on his own words, "I’m working my way through Andy’s books," says Ryan, referring to 2012's Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture and last year's The Andy Cohen Diaries.
The musical is loosely-based on the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol but with a special twist for Bravo fans—instead of Ghosts of Christmas Past, "Andy's visited by three Housewives," says Ryan, who will only confirm that NeNe Leakes is among the three.
But don't expect a love fest between Andy and the 'Wives. Ryan only reveals one song choice for the upcoming show, a reinterpretation of "I Miss the Mountains" from rock musical Next to Normal called "I Hate the Housewives."
