Andy Cohen's Life Becomes an Open Book

Bravo guru inks deal for his memoir.

By Lauren Metz

Look who's getting inked. "I am excited to announce this morning that I've signed with Henry Holt and Company to write a book!" Andy Cohen spills in his Bravo blog. "It'll be a memoir, of sorts, about my intersections with pop culture over the years, from growing up in front of the TV as a kid in St. Louis to my years at CBS News, all the way up to today. The stories I've been saving up are funny and improbable and really define who I am today."

The unnamed book will be released next summer, and our executive vice president of original programming and development promises to "write every word of it." In a press release, Stephen Rubin, Holt's president and publisher, praises AC's professional and personal likeability: "Anyone who sees what Andy Cohen has achieved at Bravo knows the guy is a marketing genius. What nobody knows as of yet, is that Andy is also a very seductive and compelling writer with a story to tell that will charm, shock and engage readers with its candor, honesty and wit. Andy is as irresistible on the page as he is on screen."

How flattering. Andy, who began putting his thoughts on paper last weekend, is also asking fans for their bright ideas to find a title. "So the question is, what SHOULD I call it? Let me know if you have any brilliant thoughts..." he blogged. Already on the oh-hell-no list? Vicki and Me: My Secret Affair with the Queen of Insurance, Stories Sarah Jessica Told Me, and Hope Over Heartbreak: My Battle with Rosacea. Have a better idea? Go ahead and let him have it!
