Sound the Alarm! Below Deck Med's Bobby Giancola Is Making a Major Career Move

The #BelowDeckMed deckhand is going all in on yachting.

Is Bobby Still a Fireman?

The Below Deck Mediterranean crewmembers have had some pretty interesting jobs before making their way into yachting. But the prize for the hottest career definitely has to go to Bobby Giancola, who continues to work as a firefighter EMT today.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Mediterranean on Peacock and the Bravo app

But now that Bobby has gotten a taste of the yacht life as a deckhand this season of Below Deck Med, he's currently in the process of becoming a full-time yachtie. "Yes, still in the process," Bobby updated The Daily Dish about his future plans. "I'm still at the fire department right now. I'm kind of just trying to tie up some loose ends there with the [time] trades I had to pay back for working."

However, we should see Bobby back on the high seas in no time. "But I really loved yachting, and now that I've got new yachting friends down in Fort Lauderdale, I'm in the works right now of moving down there and getting on a yacht," he said.

We can only imagine that Bobby's fellow firefighters will be sad to see him go, but they still have his back when it comes to this career move. "[They’re] 100 percent supportive. They’re my biggest backers. They’re awesome," Bobby said of what the guys back at the firehouse think of his time on Below Deck Med during his appearance on Tuesday night's Watch What Happens Live (clip above). "Obviously, they give me a ton of digs all day long. But you got a bunch of guys at the fire department watching Bravo, and it’s fun."

Bobby giving Andy Cohen his old fire helmet on WWHL basically makes his departure from that line of work official, anyway.

But for those of you who will miss gawking at Bobby in uniform, at least we'll always have these photos to admire.

It's a good thing Bobby is on board the Ionian Princess this season of Below Deck Med because things are just starting to heat up. See what we mean in the clip, below.
