Bevy Smith Pays Tribute to Oscar de la Renta
The 'Fashion Queens' host on how he made women feel "vivacious."
The fashion world lost one of its greatest artists Monday when Oscar de la Renta passed in Connecticut, according to Reuters. He was 82.
Throughout his career, de la Renta was a defining designer of American fashion who dressed everyone from First Ladies (Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton) to Hollywood's A-List (Penelope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker and Sandra Bullock). Most recently, he created the wedding gown worn by Amal Alamuddin for her nuptials to George Clooney.
Fashion Queens host Bevy Smith remembers the style pioneer for his talents and grace.
"Oscar De la Renta was an artist, a gracious designer, it was his mission to make women LOOK & FEEL Gorgeous, Vivacious & Appreciated!" she tells the Dish. "He accomplished that goal for decades, he now deserves to rest in peace."
