Neutrals Are In!

In her latest collection for Spring/Summer 2015, Son Jung Wan began her collection with rich, deep colors before moving towards ensembles that were neutral inspired. Gold, Mauve, White and Tan were all present on the runway.

"Pale neutrals are always on trend and they look good on almost anyone," Bevy tells the Dish. "The great thing about neutrals is they look fantastic on paler skin and amazing on darker skin as well. Neutrals compliment many skin tones so neutral hues are a win-win."

Entitled "Dualism," Son Jung Wan’s collection also included a plethora of mixed textures, sheer mesh sweaters and embellished jumpers.

"Jumpers are great because you can wear them during the day and into the night. They are a really festive way to be sporty while also having a polished look."

Pop Of Colors Scream Spring!

Inspired by his Puerto Rican heritage, Luis Antonio's collection featured warm oranges and vibrant reds for his New York Fashion Week debut. The models wore fresh faces and tangerine lips accompanied with loose romantic ponytails, making the show both fierce and delicate.

"Bright colors and Spring go perfectly together!" says Bevy. "When you have a burst of color in an outfit, a fresh, dewy face is a great compliment."

Michael Costello Gave Us Life

Donning slicked hair, matte faces, and gold crowns, the models at Costello's show glided down the runway in hip-hugging gowns with deep necklines. Transitioning from mint-colored mermaid gowns, to tasteful sheer-sequin dresses—every look was flawless. The makeup was bold and beautiful with a gold-shimmer theme.

“When the dress has so much detail and embellishment, a matte palate on the face is the perfect combination.”
