Bravo Stars Bring Healthy Fun to NYC

Exclusive: 'Top Chef' stars, Teresa Giudice take over Union Square.

By Mike Hess

In case you haven't heard, it's Healthy Week here at Bravo and across the NBC Universal world, and on Thursday some very recognizable Bravo stars headed to the gorgeous Union Square in New York City to help the cause.

Top Chef favorite Angelo Sosa was on hand for a live cooking demo, where he whipped up an Asian-influenced tofu dish straight from his Flavor Exposed cookbook, while Teresa Giudice followed up by signing copies of her new book for throngs of fans waiting in line.

Sosa was his normal fun and flirty self, running through the demo with Today's Jenna Wolf while taking time to answer questions from curious onlookers. Angelo declared that he's currently "obsessed with tofu," and this particular recipe features the meat alternative grilled to add "dimension so that it seduces the palate." With the addition of some kochujang, soy, agave and some other ingredients, Angelo's dish was passed around to the crowd, and it had even non-tofu-believers swooning. How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Top Chef alum Nikki Cascone was also on hand greeting fans and giving out some health-conscious tips. "100 percent of it needs to be about education," she said about teaching people tips for eating healthier, lighter and in more regulated portions. "If we just care more about what we're eating and what we're putting on our plates, things are going to change. I feel like we've been heading that way the past decade where chefs are really going refined farm-to-table. I think the general public is going to follow suit and it's going to take off like lightning. What we really want to do as chefs is nurture and educate."
