Brooks Ayers: I Moved to Orange County for Vicki

The 'Wife's beau trades the South for Southern California.

By Lauren Metz

What's missing from Mississippi? Brooks Ayers.

"I grew up in Mississippi, lived in Mississippi my entire life. I went to Mississippi State," the boyfriend of Real Housewives of Orange County's Vicki Gunvalson tells AskDanandMike.com and RealityShowGurus.com. And now? "I have relocated to the O.C. a year ago. ... We decided we would take it to the next level. In order for that to happen, I needed to be located closer to her."

Heading west meant leaving behind his three children from his first marriage, a 21-year-old son who's a junior at Brooks' rival college Ole Miss, an 18-year-old daughter who's attending Mississippi State next year and a 12-year-old daughter named Reagan after the former president. Brooks also has a 3-year-old son named Joey from another relationship who lives in Indianapolis. "I talk to them every day. Technology is a wonderful thing," he adds.

Brooks, who first met Vicki in May 2007 at an insurance and investment conference in Atlanta, says, "I've become a better businessperson, a better person, a better parent as a result of my relationship with Vicki." How has she changed? "Vicki's becoming a college football fan now. She wears her Mississippi State t-shirt when the Bulldogs are playing." And woo-hoos for touchdowns?
