There's an etiquette rule about the three things you're never supposed to discuss at a social occasion: money, religion and politics. But one of those topics (faith) has been a repeated subject on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and it looks like it's putting a stop to some of the ladies' friendships.
Last night on RHOBH, Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud had a disagreement about whether or not a spell can do any harm (or whether it even exist). Carlton, RHOBH's resident Wicca, was joking around about casting a hex on frenemy Kyle Richards. Joyce laughed, saying that "spells only get to you if you believe in it." Carlton didn't brush her response off as a joke, and ominously pointed out that everything comes down to respect, and, for all intents and purposes, Joyce should "watch out."
Whether Carlton placed a hex on Joyce's house or not, Joyce was freaked out because her husband, Michael, fell terribly ill only hours after the uncomfortable confrontation at Yolanda's.
She didn't stop there. Shortly after the episode aired, Joyce took to her blog and to Twitter to point out that she didn't believe Carlton's words would have any effect on her.
And this is the point where Carlton finally had enough, letting Joyce know exactly how she feels about people passing judgment on her faith once again.
What do you think about Joyce's concerns? Do you feel like she crossed a line with Carlton, or do you think Carlton is overreacting? Let us know in the comments.
