"Right now, you know, after he moved out a few months later, I guess, we sort of thought we needed to give each other a little space so we decided to kind of take a break," she shared during the reunion. Though, the twosome have still traveled together despite the break. Carole noted that she is not really seeing anyone else since the split and that "I'm focusing on the parts of my life that are very me-centric."

Their relationship had been documented for the past two seasons on RHONY with the couple going public with their romance during Season 7, when Carole confessed to Luann de Lesseps that she was dating the chef -- who also just so happened to be Luann’s niece's former boyfriend. The couple managed to get past that drama with Luann, worked together briefly on a cookbook and eventually moved in together by Season 9, before Adam found his own place.

Carole spoke about Adam to the The Daily Dish in April 2016, describing him as "really grounded, kind of serious, no bullsh** kind of guy, and I like that," she said at the time.

Prior to their split, in August 2016, The Daily Dish spoke to Adam about sharing his life on TV. "You know, I'm not like a regular Housewife viewer; I see myself from time to time. It's interesting but I feel like it's pretty easy and natural. I guess, maybe at times, it's weird to see yourself on camera, to hear your voice. Everybody has that unless maybe they're an actor or actress or reality star that's used to it," he told The Daily Dish. "But it's fun and I don't really get involved in any of the dramatic sides of the show. I've never been kind of an issue with that. I think I'm pretty respectful to everyone. I think my relationship with Carole shows on camera, which I think is important for people to see, as I'm sure a lot of viewers are curious as to what our relationship is like. So, I think, people probably get to see that and it's probably pretty natural what they see."
