Radio personality Claudia Jordan already had her plate full when she joined the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast this season but now, thanks to her popularity on the show, she's busier than ever—and she loves it.

How to Watch

"Since I started on the show, people reached out to me to come audition for [TV series] Single Ladies, Power—a bunch of things." Claudia tells The Daily Dish. "Things are starting to come my way."

Claudia, who has appeared in several TV shows and movies, says her previous acting work was so sporadic that it never allowed her to really focus on the craft. That's changed now that she's starring in the upcoming thriller The Hills with industry veterans Omar Gooding and Clifton Powell.

"My costars are all seasoned actors and here I come and I'm a lead," says Claudia. "It was amazing to work with them and have them say, 'You did your thing.' In the film, CIaudia explains, she plays a nurse who falls in love with a prison corrections officer. Her love interest's world is turned upside down when the man who killed his father is sent to his prison.

"There are a lot of twists and turns," says Claudia adding, "and I have some love scenes." The latter proved "a little bit nerve-racking" for the actress because she already knew her scene partner and they had a bit of history. "He flirts with me sometimes when I see him out so I was like, 'Oh, he's into this,'" she says, laughing. "But it's cool. That's what acting is about."

When The Hills is released later this year Claudia will several reasons to celebrate, including feeling vindicated of an insult from costar NeNe Leakes during their infamous showdown.

"It's funny to me, one of the things Nene said in Puerto Rico was, 'Hollywood ain't checkin for you' and I said, 'but Atlanta is, that's why you're so bothered.' But Hollywood is checking for me."
