Craving Caroline's Christmas Cookies?

Mama Manzo shares a holiday favorite.

By Lauren Metz

Mama Manzo is prepping her fa-la-la loot and sharing her recipe for homemade sugar cookies. So unless you have plans to go chimney sliding, go ahead and engage your holiday sweet tooth with this recipe direct from Caroline.

Ingredients:
5 cups of all-purpose flour
2 cups of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups of butter, softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of salt

"In a large bowl mix together the dry ingredients and set aside. In a separate bowl mix butter and sugar until smooth," the Real Housewives of New Jersey star writes on her site. Next you'll want to add the eggs and vanilla extract to your butter and sugar batch. "Now, slowly combine the dry ingredients to the mixture and mix well. Cover and chill the dough for about an hour or so."

After chilling, heat your oven to 400 degrees. "Roll out your cookie dough to about a 1/2 inch in thickness. If you find that the dough is sticky, use confectioner sugar on the rolling pin," advises Caroline. "Use fun holiday cookie cutters to create your shapes and then place on a non greased cookie sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes." Let cool, decorate, and savor the holidays!
