Both Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes have said they will never be close friends again but, maybe there's hope the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars can at least be friendly.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

In a new interview with Hollywood Life, Cynthia says she's "optimistic" she and NeNe can move on from their feud. "I never really did anything to her in the first place," she says. "I've never really bashed her."

Cynthia says, despite their very public falling out, during the taping of the current season she was hopeful the two could "coexist and be cordial and respectful to each other in a working environment since we don't have the luxury of never seeing each other."

Since they are still costars, Cynthia says she hopes they can at least learn to be cordial. "I think as grown women, we should be able to respect each there and say 'Hello, hi I like your necklace, nice watch,' and just keep moving."

And although a truce isn't in sight now, Cynthia says "I feel like in my heart, one day we can get to that place where we can just hug it out and move on." In the meantime, she's keeping a positive attitude, "I don't really have any ill-will toward her. I can't do that to myself. I can't sit here and just have all this anger for someone. It's just not who I am. That affects my energy and my karma. I don't choose negativity. I'm always going to choose positivity and light."
