How are Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas *Really* Doing?

#RHOA's Porsha Williams shares her thoughts on the state of their relationship.

Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta got off to a rocky start for Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas. The first two episodes of the season have shown the couple dealing with the fallout of a video showing Peter with another woman at his Charlotte, North Carolina bar, Sports One.

As you can see in the preview of Sunday night's episode above, it looks like Cynthia and Peter have a long road ahead of them to get their relationship back to where it once was. However, it can prove difficult to repair a relationship when you and your significant other are on a reality TV show, according to Cynthia's fellow RHOA 'Wife Porsha Williams. “Reality TV can put a strain on a relationship if you are in denial about anything, because reality TV is a mirror in a way,” Porsha said during a recent interview with ETonline. “You know, you see a lot of things in yourself that you probably haven’t wanted to see, and you have to face them."

But Porsha seems altogether optimistic about Cynthia and Peter's marriage surviving this rough patch. “As far as Cynthia and Peter go, I don’t think that reality TV played a part in their relationship at all,” Porsha also told ETonline. “They have a pretty strong foundation, and they’re human, and they’re just going through things. And they’re brave enough to just, you know, let the camera be a part of that.”

Porsha can't say the same for every relationship featured on Season 8 of RHOA. "This season, I'd have to say, for a lot of people, is very emotional," Porsha teased. "This will probably be the realest season ever. That's the thing, this season is so about roller coasters in these relationships, going up and down and all the unexpected turns that these relationships are taking."
