For years, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been rumored to be dating. And most recently, the duo was spotted out and about together in L.A., lending credence to the speculation that they are involved with one another. And now one of Holmes' former Dawson's Creek co-stars is weighing in on all the chatter.
"I called it back when we were on [Dawson's Creek]," Busy Philipps told The Daily Dish on Thursday, while promoting her partnership with LG Electronics. "I said to her, 'You know who you're going to be dating in 20 years?' No, I mean, I don't know."
All kidding aside, Phillips has always been an open book about her one-time friendship with Holmes. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2015, she revealed that they lost touch after Holmes began her relationship with Tom Cruise. "I left her several voicemail messages," she shared at the the time (clip above)."I just remember when it happened and I was like, 'Are you on a plane in San Fransisco with Tom Cruise? What's happening?' And then I saw her three years later and she had a kid."
Holmes and Cruise split in 2012. As for why she and Foxx seemed to have become more open about their relationship, well, there's word on the street that there is a clause in her 2012 divorce settlement banning her from publicly dating for five years.
