Did Jay Z Just Try and Upstage His Twins' Birth With This Big Announcement?

The rapper has yet another special delivery coming this month.

By Tamara Palmer

Jay Z just dropped a special announcement, but it wasn't exactly the one Beyoncé fans have been waiting for: He's got a new album coming out this month!

Neither Jay nor Bey have told the public about the weekend arrival of their twins (although her dad kinda let the cat out of the bag), but Sprint, in association with Jay's music streaming service Tidal, has revealed that his next album 4:44 will be released on June 30 via an ad featuring the new song "Adnis" with a video featuring Danny Glover and former MC Mahershala Ali.

"Letter to my dad that I never wrote," he raps in the clip, which dropped on Father's Day. "Speeches I prepared that I never spoke/Words on a paper that I never read/Proses never penned/They stayed in my head."

The rapper's lucky 13th studio album will be his first since 2013's Magna Carta... Holy Grail. Jay also plans to hit the road in support of 4:44 this summer, but no word on whether his touring entourage will grow by his latest two additions.
