Did Vanessa Hudgens Break the Law on Her Valentine's Day Vacay?

True love is forever — just like incriminating social media posts.

People do crazy things for love, but a stunt two celebrities pulled on a Valentine's Day weekend vacation could actually be criminal.

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler may have been caught red-handed via their own social media sharing, after literally leaving their mark on Arizona's Coconino National Forest after a romantic weekend excursion.

Lovey-dovey intentions aside, turns out it's illegal to carve into Red Rocks, a national forest and public property. And what happens in Sedona doesn't stay in Sedona when you post it to Instagram: Several people who were taken aback by the duo's actions apparently forwarded the uploaded post to officials.

The pair reportedly then removed the purported photographic evidence — but of course, it had long since been screengrabbed into permanence. The public affairs department told media it's a concern when stars set a bad example.

According to TMZ, penalties include a $5,000 fine and/or six months behind bars. Maybe the star lovers could also volunteer in public service next time? That would be a nice way to kiss and makeup with the rest of us nature-loving travelers.
