Kandi Dishes on the Feds’ Visit

The Season 8 finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired on Sunday, and we were able to get one more scandal in before the night was over. The news that the feds showed up to Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey's homes regarding Phaedra Parks' estranged and incarcerated husband Apollo Nida had all of the Georgia Peaches abuzz.

Everyone was especially curious to know who called the feds in the first place. Many wondered if Phaedra herself had something to do with it, considering the fact that her relationship with Kandi has been rocky this season. Part of that was due to Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker allowing Apollo to store a bike and four-wheeler in their garage without consulting Phaedra first.

Luckily, Kandi cleared up our burning questions during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live Sunday. "I wasn't scared, to be honest with you," Kandi told Andy Cohen about how she felt when the feds came to her house. "It's not like they had a search warrant or anything. I was just like, 'OK, yeah his bike is there.'"

Kandi went on to say that she didn't get in trouble with the feds, but they did seize Apollo's possessions from her house. "They came to inquire if he had anything at our house, and we just said yes," she explained. "It was just a bike and a four-wheeler. It wasn't like we had all this stuff."

As for who actually called the feds, that's still a mystery to Kandi, but she does think the timing of their visit was strange, especially considering the status of her relationship with Phaedra at the time. "That episode where [Phaedra] and I were trying to resolve our issues, and she was like 'Well, the feds have been coming to me about his stuff,' that aired that week [the feds visited]. But then she also was upset with Todd about something that he tweeted or something," Kandi told Andy. "It was so weird because then a couple days later this happened, so I didn't know if it was because of the TV show or if it was because she was upset. I didn't know. The timing of it was so weird."

Will we ever know who actually called the feds? Perhaps the RHOA reunion starting next Sunday, March 20 at 8/7c will provide some clues.
