Erika Girardi Shares Why Her Son Lives With Her

Listen, Erika Girardi gets why people are so interested in her son, Tommy. Her life as a mom is one side of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills singer that we don't get to see. So when she revealed this week that Tommy lives with her and husband, Tom Girardi, it was a pretty unexpected revelation. And while Erika has been opening up more and more about her police officer offspring, she promises we won't ever see him on the show.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"It's not weird [that people are interested in him]," she told The Daily Dish. "I'm sure that they're curious because the only thing that they see is this thing. But I am a mother. My son does live with me. He is a police officer and he will remain off camera."

While some parents may be hankering to move their adult kids out of the familial abode, Erika is more than cool with having Tommy at home for a few really good reasons. "I actually love having my son there. He's free security, OK?" she said, with a laugh. "Free security and he never lets me forget it. But, you know, Tom's very busy and travels all the time. I travel all the time, and my son is super busy. So it's nice. We have a really big house, so it's nice to have him there. And it's nice; listen let me be very honest I worry about my boy as I'm sure everyone whose family member is in law enforcement or in the military [is], OK? It's nice to hear him come home. It's nice to hear him come off duty and I can see his car in the driveway or I hear him walk up the steps. To me, I sleep a little better at night just knowing that I know where he is."

But, Tommy shouldn't expect any home cooked meals anytime soon. "No, I don't cook, honey," she said. "That poor kid — he knows I will take him anywhere he would like to go [but] Mommy is not cooking, no."

You can keep up with Tommy's mom every Tuesday at 9/8c. Check out a preview, below.
