How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Acting is nothing new to Kyle Richards, who has been in front of the lens for pretty much her entire life. Long before The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle had roles in everything from Little House on the Prairie to Halloween to Beverly Hills, 90210, and when recently she was asked about taking on a guest role on the hit drama CSI, it was a no-brainer for the actress-'Wife-mom. Still it took a bit of multi-tasking.

"I was shooting CSI yesterday, Real Housewives today and also doing my main job -- being a mom," Kyle tells The Dish exclusively. "I was running around since 6 this morning with every form you can ever need for my kids going back to school. My life is like one little Calgon 'take me away moment,'" she joked.

Kyle says she and her husband Mauricio love CSI, and that when she was "beyond excited" when they approached her to have a guest role on the show. As for her character, Kyle divulged about as much information as she could, saying that she plays a divorcee "and of course after I was cast for the part they had to make a little joke about the Housewives now -- they added a little line to make it kind of funny. A little innuendo."

When probed about what fans can expect from the character -- tears, tantrums, etc. -- Kyle says the fireworks are limited, but does note that her character is "pretty bitchy." One funny thing that happened on set? CSI star Elisabeth Shue, who Kyle filmed scenes with, was picking Kyle's brain about it the world of reality TV.

"She was very nice and was asking a lot of questions about the Housewives. She was very curious about reality television versus acting," Kyle said with a laugh.

As for Kyle's take on reality vs. acting, she says in a sense scripted acting is actually easier. "I love acting, it's what I've done all my life and to me it's a lot easier than doing reality television because you get into a character, you remember your lines and you go home and leave it all behind at the end of the day. Reality television, it's your life and you can't walk away from it. You're being exposed and the audience is weighing in on your lives and your relationships with your friends and family.

Are there any other shows on Kyle's bucket list when it comes to possible guest spots? "I always seem to love the shows with cops. I really want to play a cop -- I want a badge and a gun. I'd love to do a guest spot on Breaking Bad or Castle. I think Once Upon a Time is a great time. Fun stuff, I like to have fun with characters."

You'll have to wait until October to catch Kyle's CSI debut, but for now, have a little fun with our Before the Housewives gallery by clicking the photo below!
