Mark September down on your calendars. That's when Andy Cohen's Radio Andy, a 24-7 entertainment channel on Sirius Satellite Radio, is set to launch.
The Watch What Happens Live host revealed the exciting news on Instagram, where he shares he's already getting ready for the launch—and inviting his parents along for the ride! So anyone looking for some sage parental advice, might want to give them a ring.
"Working hard on #RadioAndy at @siriusxm!" he writes on social media. "We launch in Sept, but we're taping some stuff w/ my folks next week. They're brilliant parents w/ great advice. Leave your parental advice Q's for Ev & Lou in my machine - they may answer your Q's on air... (844) 306-ANDY / (844) 306-2639."
Andy first confirmed the news of his radio station earlier this spring. It was then that he gushed about one of his Sirius colleagues, legendary radio host, Howard Stern. "I love Howard Stern," he told the Daily Dish. "His interviews are so incredible. It's amazing to have a platform where you can sit and really get to know an interview subject."
And while he has plenty of experience in the world of TV, branching out into radio will offer up a new experience for the #WWHL host. "I'm so excited," Andy said. "It sounded like a huge opportunity and something really fun and exciting to me. I ran programming at Bravo for ten years, but I've never programmed a radio channel and the idea of getting to fill a channel with people that I love, based around my interests...it's something really exciting and a huge opportunity."
