Fredrik Eklund Visits Orphanage During Trip to Bali

The #MDLNY star takes time to give back while vacationing on the Indonesian island.

As if we couldn’t be more jealous of Fredrik Eklund’s luxurious getaways, he’s giving us vacation envy once again. The Million Dollar Listing New York star has been enjoying some R&R on the shores of Bali — and it’s just as fabulous as you are imagining.

Aside from soaking up the sun (and doing a little dancing), Fredrik also gave back to the community with a trip to a local orphanage. Fredrik, who is preparing for a family of his own, spent some time with the children and donated money to purchase school supplies.

Today we visited one of the nine SOS Orphanage Villages in Bali. Currently 88 children live in this one, infants up to the age of 16... and we got to meet a lot of them today. Many of them were dropped off outside the gates as helpless babies, by their parents or relatives unable to care for them. Others were rescued from dangerous child labor or found lost after natural disasters (like the tsunami). They are brought up here in families of 10 children and one "mother" per simple brick house. There are dogs, cats and chickens running freely in the green jungle surrounding the village. A Hindu temple in the center of it. A boom box and and a computer (with no internet), what seemed to be from the 90's, in each house crowded by five bunk beds for the kids. These little angels showed us around proudly, and I couldn't help to think they're full of light, happiness and comradeship despite their humble surroundings. But the real heroes are the "mothers," pictured herein, who dedicate their lives to the abandoned children. The little girl in my lap is crying because 'she has never seen anyone taller,' the mothers laughed. I hugged them, thought of my own life, unwillingly said goodbye, and donated money for school supplies and books for the village. â¤ï¸
