It sounds like all of issues between cast members weren't resolved at the Shahs of Sunset reunion taping, but according to Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi and Mercedes "MJ" Javid, the special is certainly something for viewers to look forward to. PerezHilton.com recently caught up with GG and MJ in Los Angeles, and got the scoop on the "very intense" reunion.
"We have a lot of drama," GG tells the website. "The reunion was on another level this year, another extreme. There was a lot of yelling, a lot of cursing, people walking off the stage."
Despite the drama, MJ said she found letting it all out at the reunion to be therapeutic. "I like to say whatever the f**k I've been holding in all year long and that's why I love the reunion."
MJ is hoping that she and her cast mates can learn and grow from the interactions though, even if they're sometimes negative. "The best part of the season is the catharsis you have the end," she explains. "I actually look forward to it because once you complete that step, you get to sort of close that chapter and learn from it."
Both MJ and GG went through very emotional experiences in front of the camera this season and reflected on reliving those difficult moments. For MJ, watching her relationship with Charlie on the show was particularly difficult, since they've since broken up. "A lot of fans still ask if we're together and I hesitate to answer because I have to come to terms with the fact that I put myself out there and then it didn't work out," she shares.
GG meanwhile, said that although it was a relief to be vindicated, she had a difficult time watching former friend Mike be confronted with old footage that proved her accusations against him. "Everyone said I was lying," she recalls. "That someone caught footage of it. That was pretty intense for me.
