Kandi Burruss on Settling Beef with Kim Zolciak-Biermann

While Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kenya Moore weren't exactly building a bridge towards frienship at the Chateau Shereé housewarming party, Kim did reconnect with an old pal at the bash. We don't know if you noticed, but while everyone was celebrating Shereé Whitfield's stunning home, the Don't Be Tardy mom and old friend Kandi Burruss were mending a fence that had been in need of repair for years.

The twosome, of course, have a storied history on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Having once been good pals, they let baby names and a lawsuit over Kim's single “Tardy to the Party" (Kandi was a producer and co-writer on the track and later sued for copyright infringement and unpaid compensation) get in the way of that friendship. But as Kandi explained to the Daily Dish, it was time to put the past in the past. "I ran into Kim once at the Upfronts and we spoke, but we didn't really talk to each other. But we made up at Shereé's party. So that was a positive moment," the singer/songwriter said. "Honestly, [I'm] tired of being mad about all that stuff. It's so old. It's five years ago. It's like whatever, man. We really did — I feel personally, Kim and I really did have a genuine friendship outside of the show. We used to have a lot of fun together. Our kids used to hang out and they were really close. And so that whole issue between she and I, we fell out on some business stuff, it affected everybody and so I'm just glad to be over it."

Kim mirrored that sentiment in a separate interview with us, noting how great it was to see Kandi and be able to bury the hatchet. "It was good. I think for me, it had been five years. I think for me, I wanted to clarify that I didn’t steal her baby name. She’s like, 'You’re right, we have similar taste.' It was great to put some of that stuff behind me and it was great to see her," Kim said. "We were close for many years. I don’t hold onto any grudges. I keep it moving, so it was definitely good to see her."

As for what might be next for the former pals, Kandi admits you probably won't see them doing anymore business together. "OK, so business between us did not work out but you know friendship-wise we used to have a lot of fun together," she said. "Maybe some people you just don't do business with and you just respect that and you just keep it moving."
