How Rosie Pope’s Balancing a Book Tour and Babies

Halloween isn’t for another two weeks, but Rosie Pope is already wearing her SuperMom costume.

"I am too exhausted to think about much else other than the cool can of Diet Coke in my bag, wondering whether 9 AM is too early to drink it, but then I digress!" the Mommy IQ: The Complete Guide to Pregnancyy author blogs about heading out on the last stretch of her book tour. "I have a good excuse, though.  Really, I do! I am proud to say I had one of my children with me for almost the entire trip."

Despite that familiar working mom fatigue, J.R., Wells, and Vivienne’s mama wouldn’t have changed a thing about those travel arrangements. "I have to say, though, traveling to Chicago, LA and Dallas with my four year old was a trip I don’t think I will ever forget and will forever make this book tour something that was not only a professional milestone but a significant moment for me and my family."

Believe it or not, even the airport security line was a bonus in Rosie’s eyes. No, really. "Every time we arrived at the airport my Little Man Pope would light up at the excitement of security, of getting on the plane and coloring, of exploring a new hotel, a new city and – the highlight  - traveling in the stretch limo that the Steve Harvey Show supplied for our return to the airport.  Seeing my little guy’s face, limo lights ablaze, Rihanna on the radio, fist pumping through Chicago (my new favorite city) was an image I will never forget."
