Inside Ja Rule's Life in Prison
Rapper opens up about food, sex, and more on Watch What Happens Live.
In May, Ja Rule was released from a federal prison in New York, where he served a two-year sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon. Two years is a long time—31,536,000 seconds in fact—but on last night's Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen challenged the rapper to describe what life was like behind bars in just 30 seconds.
First things first: How bad is the food? "Terrible," Rule says, adding the worst thing about the entire experience was "No sex."
On that note, did he ever see any prisoner-on-prisoner action? The rapper says he didn't, and tells Cohen his cellmate was a "cool dude" whose biggest flaw was that he "snored a lot."
Ja Rule says he did indeed see some fights, and that his prison nickname was simple: "I was just Rule." And ultimately, the other prisoners treated him pretty well.
Watch Ja Rule reveal what his life was like in prison and tell us in the comments: how does the rapper look after two years behind bars?
