Is Kathryn Dennis Dating Again?
The #SouthernCharm mom now knows what she does and doesn't want in a man.
Kathryn C. Dennis made it very clear that she and on-again, off-again love Thomas Ravenel are "never, ever, ever getting back together" when The Daily Dish caught up with the Southern Charm mom last week. When you're quoting Taylor Swift lyrics, you know it's serious.
So now that Thomas is completely out of the picture as far as a romantic relationship is concerned, is Kathryn ready to get back in the dating game? She said she has "gone on a few dates," but one of them didn't go as planned. "Thomas showed up to one. He saw me through the window," she told The Daily Dish.
Kathryn said being Thomas' ex hasn't made meeting other people easy, especially because people think she has "baggage" from their relationship. "It's been really difficult to date because Charleston's small, everyone knows Thomas," she said.
But at least now Kathryn said she has a better idea of what she is and isn't looking for in a guy. "I think I'm a little high maintenance when it comes to men now. They're gonna have to be a Mother Teresa-type man," she said.
Some of the things Kathryn is now looking for in a potential mate include someone who is "honorable, like they respect you, they don't cheat on you, they love you. I mean, just the normal stuff," she explained. "But it's very difficult to find in this day and age. There are so many distractions. But I like them tall, dark, and handsome. I'll say that."
But Kathryn is still hopeful about being able to have an amicable relationship with Thomas in the future, one in which they can successfully co-parent their two children, 2-year-old daughter Kensington and five-month-old son St. Julien. "That's the goal. I can do it, and I'm confident that God will work it out somehow. I think it's gonna take a lot of time for him. We don't communicate at all right now, so I don't know what his brain is doing, if he's moving in that direction. I hope so," she said. "I can't predict that because I have no idea. I couldn't predict anything the last three years. It was like curve balls everywhere, so I don't know. We'll see."
However, Kathryn does know that she wants to have more children in the future. "I absolutely love being a mom. I want a huge family. And definitely with the man that I marry. I want my children to have a stepfather and then grow that family and make it feel whole," she said (clip above). "I don't know when this is all gonna happen, though. It's gonna take a long time for me to not be cynical and jaded about men."
