Vanderpump Rules SURvers James Kennedy and Lala Kent have taken their flirty chemistry to the recording booth. And while James is still busy putting the finishing touches on the song, tentatively titled "Feeling You," he admitted on the After Show that his lovely collaborator brought some serious heat to the track.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

"It's halfway done now. I've been taking my time on production. Basically, I want this track with Lala and I to really come out as strong as possible, so I've been really focused on the production for it right now," he said on Monday's episode, during which the twosome also performed an acoustic version of the track. "She's got the hook on point and we're working on the bridge right now."

And it wasn't just Lala that served as a muse for the lyrical content of the song. It was also his break-up with Kristen Doute that served as inspiration for the song. "It was at a time where I was just getting out of a relationship with Kristen," he explained. "You know it was at a time where I didn't think I would meet someone as special so quickly regardless of if we would end up together or not, I really respect this girl and nobody had me feeling the way I was feeling except her at the time."

Below, James reveals a bit more about his beginnings in the music industry.
