Jenni Pulos Will Not Give Up After IVF Failure

Get ready to flip out: Jenni Pulos has welcomed her second daughter, Georgia Grace, on Wednesday. “A long and rocky path led to the most beautiful destination. Our hearts are exploding with joy,” she said in a statement to PEOPLE. Jenni and her husband, Jonathan Nassos, are already parents to Alianna, who turns 4 this month.

Georgia was born at 1:38 p.m., weighing 8 lbs., 1 oz., and measuring in at 20½ inches long. As for her adorable name, Jenni added to PEOPLE, “When I was newly pregnant, I had contaminated progesterone and almost lost the baby. The song ‘Georgia on my Mind’ kept playing everywhere I went. I knew it was my amazing aunt and my husband’s best family friend, both named Georgia, saying, ‘We are your angels in heaven. Don’t give up.’ We knew from then on her name had to be Georgia.”

Prior to the birth, the couple struggled to get pregnant and pursued IVF (with some complications), but back in January shared with The Daily Dish that it was all worth it. "As the treatments went on, the shots decreased, and that in and of itself was a reason to celebrate. This year, the holidays were special because one year prior I had had a miscarriage. There was such joy in knowing a year later a miracle had been restored," she said. "I would have to say that spending time with Jonathan during my treatments and being able to tell Alianna that she's going to be a big sister was the most exciting gift that we could have possibly asked for."

And you can bet that Jenni received a lot of support from her longtime Flipping Out BFF, Jeff Lewis (who became a first-time dad last October), as she prepped to become a mom for the second time.

"Jeff was championing us during this entire process; he and Gage have been very supportive. Early on I had some complications and Jeff was always concerned about my health. They are great dads and I can't wait for our girls to become lifelong friends who will share everything from dresses to Mama/Aunt Jenni's favorite raps," she said, sharing that it's "a new chapter filled with excitement and adventure."
