Jewel Reveals Plans for Second Children's Album

The mommy-to-be is inspired by her pregnancy.

Platinum Hit host Jewel at the Grammy Awards
Last night at the Grammy Awards, Jewel announced the Best New Artist category (sorry, Bieber) as well as some breaking news of her own.

"Now that I'm pregnant, I'm writing a children's record," the host of Bravo's upcoming Platinum Hit told E! on the red carpet. "It's really been fun to write stuff... you're thinking about what your child is going to want to hear and what's going to be a fun story."

This isn't Jewel's first venture into the mini market. The four-time Grammy nominee wrote another kiddie album titled Lullaby when she and husband Ty Murray were struggling to conceive. After two years of trying, a new Mr. Murray is finally on his way, and the five-and-a-half months pregnant singer hopes to release the new album this fall. "Everybody said just try to enjoy being pregnant," the 36-year-old continued telling E!. "So I've really just tried to enjoy it and relax."

Her celeb pals are excited for Jewel's little man, too. Beyonce was spotted rubbing the country superstar's tummy backstage at the Grammys — was it for luck? Jewel was nominated for Best Country Vocal Performance by Female for her hit "Satisfied,' but it doesn't seem B has the golden touch: Miranda Lambert scooped up the win, but Jewel still went home a happy lady.

"Sat nxt 2 Cyndi Lauper, got (cheek) kissed by Kanye West, said hello 2 old friend Neil Young-saw so many musical friends-such a fun night!" she tweeted.
