Jewel Tweets About Her Weekend Recovery
After a frightening car crash, the pregnant singer feels sore but "blessed."
It was a rollercoaster weekend for mom-to-be Jewel, but thankfully life's getting back to normal this Monday.
"Hey everyone-just got released from the ER & my Dr's office- everything is fine-me & the baby r ok- thanx 4 all your thoughts & prayers," the singer and host of Bravo's upcoming Platinum Hit tweeted on Friday evening after a volunteer fire/brush truck smashed into the passenger side of her car at 11 am CT that morning.
Under doctor's orders, the mom-to-be couldn't work out so we're assuming that also included a pass from doing any chores on the Texas ranch she owns with rodeo cowboy hubby Ty Murray. "I'm going to take it easy this weekend," the 36-year-old tweeted. And although she complained of feeling sore, she told her 136,000 followers that she was "glad to be walking around. Thankful & blessed." The singer even joked today, "Geez-i didn't really see the accident I was in til the paper yesterday. The fire truck def won."
True, her car looked like an accordion post-crash, but Jewel insists, "1 thing I do know is my car saved my & baby's life-definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage & kept me safe!"
