Josh Altman Breaks Down His Wedding to Heather Bilyeu Altman

After marrying back in April, viewers were officially invited to Josh Altman and Heather Bilyeu Altman's wedding during Thursday's Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. The Aspen-set nuptials have since been described as "one of the best days" of the agent's life.

"It was indcredible," Josh told The Daily Dish earlier this week, noting that if watching the event left you with all the feels, you're not alone. "I actually just saw the episode last night. First of all, I cried which is very unlike something that I would do when I saw it. I just started tearing up and so did my wife. They really captured the moment for us. I was really happy because the whole world is going to see that. Putting yourself out there on TV, especially in situations where you're canceling a wedding or getting married or getting pregnant or this or that, you want it to be kind of perfect 'cause there's always going to be people out there that are just going to say their opinions."

And perfect is what they eventually got. But, it took some time. Josh and Heather had famously postponed their wedding back in October 2014 before making it official earlier this year. Josh insists this wedding was more than anything he could have imagined. "That whole week for me was really incredible. One because it was the total opposite of what we thought by doing this massive royal wedding type of thing [the first time], which was a giant mistake. It was more just really close family and friends in an amazing place."

While we're sure there were many stand-out moments from the big day, Josh shared that his top moment actually made it to air.

"My favorite moment, which they are showing on the episode, was the reveal," he said of the moment he got to see his bride for the first time so that they could take photos before the ceremony. "So obviously I don't know much about weddings cause this is my first wedding and every one's like 'I can't believe the reveals coming up...' I'm like, 'Wait, what do you mean? I see her in the dress? I thought I see her in the dress when she walks down the aisle.'"

But, he quickly embraced the sneak peek — as well as the wave of emotions that came with it. "I was about to open the door and then I got really nervous," he recalled. "And when I walked in and she was standing there in this beautiful dress, she looked incredible. Best ever, ever that I've seen her. The sun was coming through the St. Regis [Hotel] window and it almost made her look like an angel, I swear. This was the moment I walked in. I tried to play it cool, I started crying immediately and that was it. That moment for me — the reveal — was just on another level."

In addition to Heather's stunning gown, their wedding getaway also found Josh embracing some Western chic style in the form of a cowboy hat. "I don't really do hats much," he said. "They don't really go well with my suits, but when in Rome, right? And we got custom cowboy hats, Heather and I, that were fitted to our head perfectly and we got our initials on the back. And my dad's got a bunch of cowboy hats [since my parents live in Aspen], but I've never had one. So I finally splurged a little bit and bought one."
