The Daily Dish Xscape: Still Kickin' It

Kandi Burruss Addresses Those Jermaine Dupri Rumors and We Weren't Expecting Her to Say This

The Xscape singer sets the record straight on Tamika Scott's controversial comments.

Kandi & Tamika’s Uneasy Exchange

It took nearly 20 years for all four members of Xscape to reunite and it almost didn't happen. As we learned in the series premiere of Xscape Still Kickin' It, the group's chances of ever reuniting were put in jeopardy in 2007 after Tamika Scott gave an interview on a radio show in which she insinuated that Xscape broke up because Kandi Burruss had slept with Jermaine Dupri, who discovered the group and wrote many of their hits. Tamika also claimed that Kandi had hooked up with Jermaine's father, as well as others in the So So Def Recordings crew.

How to Watch

Catch up on Xscape: Still Kickin' It on Peacock or the Bravo App.

Tamika publicly apologized to Kandi for her comments on The Big Tigger Show earlier this year, which really put Xscape on the road to reuniting. But just because Tamika apologized doesn't mean that there wasn't some truth to her comments.

Kandi addressed the rumors on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night after Tamika said that she "didn't make up the Jermaine story." "Jermaine and I hooked up, but that's not why the group broke up," Kandi said during a tense exchange with Tamika (clip above). "You said that I hooked up with Jermaine's dad, and that's absolutely not true."

Tamika then confirmed, "That is what I said that wasn't correct."

The ladies of Xscape will finally come face to face with Jermaine in next Sunday night's episode of Xscape Still Kickin' It at 9/8c. You can check out a sneak peek in the clip, above.
