The 10 Most Kardashian Moments of 2016

2016 has certainly been one for the books. We experienced love, loss, and welcomed a whole bunch of babies to the Bravo family. Yes, there were many buzzy moments that shocked us, fascinated us, and broke our hearts this year, and we have one family to thank for many of them: the Kardashians.

It was as challenging to keep up with the Kardashians as ever in 2016. They welcomed a baby, finalized a divorce, reunited with old friends, began new business ventures, got in the middle of celebrity feuds, and experienced some scandals, grabbing headlines and always looking fabulous along the way.

Before we see what 2017 brings for the Kardashians, take a look at this year's moments that couldn't have come from any other family.

We were reminded where the Kardashian phenomenon all began thanks to FX's event series, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which chronicled the family's involvement with the famous 1995 murder trial and premiered in February. The series showed how Robert Kardashian's (David Schwimmer) friendship and participation in O.J. Simpson's defense team brought the Kardashian name into the cultural consciousness. It was interesting to see how this bit of fame affected the family, as well as think about how it probably prepared them for what would come in the future. 

When you're in the public eye as much as the Kardashians are, you're going to have your fair share of fans and haters. Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner found that out the hard way when she was booed by the crowd while introducing Boy George's performance at iHeartRadio's iHeart80s Party in Los Angeles in February. But no matter how much people may try to bring the Kardashians down, Kris maintained her composure while experiencing the backlash and showed that this family always comes back stronger. 

Kim Kardashian has never really been shy about showing off her body (nor should she be!), but she really took it to the next level when she posted a nude selfie on Instagram in March. The photo, which you can see above, shows a blond Kim taking a pic of herself in the mirror wearing nothing but some censor bars over her lady parts. Naturally, the photo caused a stir once it hit the web, notably drawing ire from celebs such as Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moretz. Kim didn't waste any time in clapping back at the haters, saying "nude selfies 'til I die" during her acceptance speech at the Webby Awards in May. We think it's safe to say that you can probably expect more risqué pics from Kim in the future. 

Blac Chyna proved she's truly one of the Kardashians when she announced that she was expecting her first child with Rob Kardashian with none other than an emoji of herself with a baby bump in May. In yet another Kardashian-approved move, Chyna introduced the world to her very own set of emojis, aptly titled Chymoji, the very same month. We're dying to see if Chyna and Rob's newborn daughter Dream will get the Chymoji treatment in 2017, too. 

As if Taylor Swift's beef with Kanye West couldn't get any more intense, Kim decided to insert herself into their drama when she leaked a videotaped conversation on Snapchat between the artists purporting to show T-Swift giving her approval of the rapper's "Famous" track, in which he refers to her as "that bitch." Kim initially claimed that Taylor gave Kanye the thumbs up on the song in her GQ cover story in June. Taylor later called the leak a "character assassination" on Twitter and expressed her wish "to be excluded from this narrative." Though it's been quiet on the Taylor-Kanye front for the past few months, we have a feeling that it's only a matter of time before this feud gets reignited, and now possibly with some back-up for Yeezy from Kim. 

It may often seem like all the Kardashians have to do is breathe to grab headlines. Some evidence to back that argument up came in August when Kylie Jenner posted a photo of some basic ramen noodles on Snapchat with the caption, "I add Butter, Garlic Powder, and an Egg to my ramen noodles. What do u add?" That seemed to cause delight and outrage alike among social media users. Say what you want about Kyle's kooking skills, but she's got her very own kulinary web series, as well as some very fancy kopper kookware to back them up. 

Chyna did her best to try and break the Internet when she posed nude on the cover of Paper magazine for its September 2016 issue á la Kim flashing her backside on the front of the publication for its Winter 2014 "Break the Internet" edition. But after Chyna's magazine cover hit newsstands, she definitely made a name for herself. 

Yes, Kim and Kanye are rich and famous, but even they like a freebie every once in a while. The couple reportedly landed a $100,000 New York City rental for free in exchange for doing some promotion of the pad on social media for Airbnb. Add that to your list of reasons why you're jealous of Kim K. 

Kim had so many amazing moments to capture during her vacation in Mexico in August, so many, in fact, that she reportedly took 6,000 selfies, according to sister Kendall Jenner's app. Well, that kind of comes with the territory of being the Selfie Queen, doesn't it?

If we had to choose an MVP of 2016 from the Kardashian fam, we'd have to say that Khloe Kardashian takes home that title. She launched her own talk show, Kocktails with Khloe, and announced her own body transformation show, Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian, which premieres on E! on January 12. Khloe also finalized her divorce from Lamar Odom and has been dating Tristan Thompson. She also got down to business, launching her very own denim line, Good American, and she also has a "secret project" in the works. We can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for Khloe.
