Did Kristen Doute Have Any Doubts About Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz Getting Married?

The #PumpRules pal reveals all about the "sob fest" of a wedding.

Kristen Doute Dishes on Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz's Wedding

Kristen Doute scored a coveted spot in Katie Maloney-Schwartz's bridal party, but the Vanderpump Rules pal wasn't always so sure that she'd make the cut. As Kristen tried to get back on good terms with the SURvers last season, she wasn't invited to witness Tom Schwartz's epic proposal.

How to Watch

Kristen said she still regrets missing that moment. "It makes me really emotional, even today talking about it, because missing the engagement was, I mean, it's the only time she'll ever be engaged. To toot my own horn, I introduced Katie and Tom, but I remember the last six years so vividly. I remember the first time they met, I remember Schwartz just chasing her for months when she wasn't ready to date anyone, and he never gave up, and then she finally gave in," she told The Daily Dish. "Now they're finally married, so it was really heartbreaking when she got engaged because we weren't that close yet. We were OK. But to think, what if I'm not part of that wedding? Like, that was crazy to think."

Though Kristen had a feeling Katie was going to ask her to be a bridesmaid when she invited her to that lunch, along with Stassi Schroeder and Scheana Shay earlier this season of Vanderpump Rules, she still found it to be "a very surreal moment." But once Kristen officially became a bridesmaid, she reveled in the role. "And I consider myself basically a co-maid of honor. I hand that to Stassi and I," she said.

Will You Be My Bridesmaids?

Kristen said the best part about being one of Katie's bridesmaids was "everything," but if she had to choose, she said she especially loved being by her friend's side every step of the way during the wedding planning. "That was my No.1 goal was making sure that this summer would be the best summer of her life, because I never want Katie to look back on the summer and think, 'Wow, I wish I had been more present in planning my wedding and [focused] less on this drama,'" Kristen explained. "And Stassi and I both took on this bodyguard mentality, so it's like, if you're messing with Katie, you're actually messing with me because I'm not gonna let her get sidetracked. So it was just great to see, even though there were definitely some stressful times throughout the whole summer, I think it could've been much worse had we not helped her along with that."

Of course, we've already seen plenty of drama leading up to the wedding, with much of it revolving around Tom's anxiety about getting married. However, Kristen said that she doesn't believe that Tom had any doubts about Katie being the one. "Even though obviously in years past everyone has seen, as well as I have, Tom being a kind of commitmentphobe, whether it was his perm or getting the dog or proposing, perhaps, but I don't think Schwartz doubted it for a second. I think he more second guessed, maybe, himself. With Schwartz, it's always been, is he good enough, is he man enough, will he provide and take care of Katie? Will he be able to do that? I don't think it has anything to do with the way that he ever felt about Katie, regardless of how he said it," she said. "So no, I [didn't] doubt [they were going to get married] for a second. We knew it was gonna happen."

Instead of a Wedding Let's Get a Porsche!

And we all know that Katie and Tom eventually do have a happy ending since they tied the knot on August 17. We'll finally get to see the nuptials for ourselves later this season of Vanderpump Rules, and Kristen guaranteed that the ceremony will not disappoint. "Oh my God, it was such a sob fest. There was not a dry eye in the entire house. Even the guys were crying. Schwartz's vows were even better than Katie's," Kristen teased. "It really was truly the best wedding I've ever been to. It was perfect, it was magical, it was beautiful, it was everything they both imagined and more."

We're already tearing up just thinking about it.

But not every part of Tom and Katie's wedding was amazing. See what Kristen had to say about having Ariana Madix being chosen to be a groomsman, below.
